A well-established outpatient pharmacy within a hospital setting seeks an experienced pharmacy technician to support a high-volume operation. Start Date: October 6
Shift: Typical hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with pharmacy hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The role includes opening and closing shift responsibilities and requires availability every 4th weekend.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process and dispense over 500 prescriptions per day in an outpatient pharmacy setting
- Assist in opening and closing pharmacy operations ensuring all procedures and protocols are followed
- Manage inventory and prepare medications following hospital policies
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Utilize PrimeRx software; training will be provided if needed
Qualifications And Desired Experience
- 1-2 years of high-volume retail pharmacy technician experience with proven full-cycle duties expertise
- Current Missouri pharmacy technician license in hand (required)
- Familiarity with PrimeRx software preferred, but willing to train
- Ability to work weekends on a rotating schedule
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
